NASSAU COUNTY

Freeport: Albany Avenue Boat Ramp, Albany Avenue, (516) 378-4000. Free to all New York State residents. Open approximately sunrise to sunset.

SUFFOLK COUNTY

East Islip: Heckscher State Boat Ramps, Heckscher Parkway, (516) 581-2100. Park entrance fee (presently undetermined)runs from Memorial to Labor Day. No off-season fee. Ramp use is presently free of charge (subject to change).Park and ramps open sunrise to sunset.

Greenport: Norman Klipp Marine Park, Manhasset Avenue (516) 765-1801. This is a state ramp run by Southold andnon-Southold residents must comply with Southold regulations. Ramp is open to all state residents. See NormanKlipp listing under Southold heading.

Orient: Orient Point Ramp at Stephenson's Beach, owned by the Department of Environmental Conversation. Entrance ispresently off Southold property and Southold restrictions apply. This policy will change shortly after a separate entrance is installed. Free to all New York State residents once separate entrance is installed. This is alimited use ramp, best suited for boats under 16 foot. Contact Southold for information and restrictions.
 


Nassau County Park Ramps

PLEASE NOTE: A Leisure Passport is also required at a cost of $15.

Bay Park: Bay Park Ramp, (2 entrances) 1st Ave/Marjorie Lane, (516) 593-5855. County residency permit required ($50). Open all year, ramps close at dusk. No daily rates, must have permit. Call for details concerning guest access.

Freeport: Milburn Creek Ramp, Atlantic Avenue, (516) 542-4581County residency permit required ($50). Open all year. No daily rates, must have permit.Call for details concerning guest access.

Glen Cove: Glaser Town Ramp/Garvey's Point, Garvey's Point Road, (516) 676-2519. Residents: $5 daily, $50 annually, Non-residents: $10 daily, $100 annually

.Inwood: Inwood Park, Bayview Avenue, (516) 239-9355. County residency permit required ($20). Open all year,7:30 am to dusk. No daily rates. Call for details concerning guest access.

Wantagh: Wantagh County Park, Merrick Road, (516) 571-7460. County residency permit required ($50). Ramps close at dusk. No daily rates, must have permit. Call for details concerning guest access.

 


Nassau Town Ramps

HEMPSTEAD

Inwood: Hempstead Inwood Marina, Bayswater Blvd., (516) 239-0945 or (516) 431-9200 (ext. 260).Open April 1st through November 30th. Call for details.

Point Lookout: Hempstead Town Marina West, Lido Blvd., (516) 431-9200. Free to residents and non-residents. Open 24 hours, all year. (21 foot limit, subject to increase).

 

NORTH HEMPSTEAD

Manorhaven Manorhaven Beach Park, Manorhaven Blvd., (516) 328-8500. Residents only. Annual launch permit required ($30). In season, single admission parking fee $3, vehicle and trailer $6. Season runs Memorial Dayto Labor Day. Open 24 hours, all year, check with security for early and late arrivals or launches; 21 foot limit.

Port Washington: Bar Beach Park, West Shore Road, (516) 328-8500. Residents only. Annual launch permit required ($30).In season, single admission parking fee $3, vehicle and trailer $6. Commercial launching $250 seasonal. No off-seasoncharges. Season runs Memorial Day through Labor Day. Open 24 hours, all year.

Massapequa: John Burns Park Ramp, Merrick Road, (516) 795-1000. Residents: Launch fee $15 seasonal, $6 daily. Non-residents:Launch fee $15 seasonal, $6 daily. Non-residents: Launch fee $70 seasonal, $15 daily. No parking fee. No off-season charges. Season runs Memorial Day through Labor Day. Open 24 hours, all year.

Oyster Bay: Roosevelt Park Ramps, Larrabee Avenue, (516) 795-1000. Residents: Launch fee $15 seasonal, $6 daily. Parking fee $20seasonal, $6 daily. Non-residents: Launch fee $35 daily. GLEN COVE

Suffolk County Town Ramps

BABYLON

Babylon: Babylon Village Boat Ramp, Fire Island Avenue, (516) 669-1500. Village of Babylon residents only. Residents: Launch fee $15 seasonal,no daily passes at present. Open all year to village residents. Gates are closed at dusk but combination to lock is given, by request,to village residents holding seasonal pass. No parking fee.

Copiague: Tanner Marine Park, Kerrigan Road, (516) 422-7206. Residents: Launch fee $15 seasonal. Non-residents: Launch fee $15 weekday, $20 weekend/holiday. Open last week of June through Labor Day, 8 am to 8 pm. No additional parking fee.

Lindenhurst Venetian Shores, off Grenada Parkway, (516) 422-7206. Residents: Launch fee $15 seasonal. Non-residents: Launch fee $15 weekday,$20 weekend/holiday. Open last week of June through Labor Day, 8 am to 8 pm. No additional parking fee.

Oak Beach Oak Beach Ramp, Ocean Parkway, Limited access ramp. Contact Babylon for updated status.

 

BROOKHAVEN

*Regulations apply: Residents: Launch permit $50 seasonal, $15 daily. Parking sticker given to town residents upon request. Non-residents: Launch permit $40 daily. Parking fee $10 daily, $250 seasonal. Resident Senior Citizens, Handicapped discount.Open 24 hours, all year.

Bellport: Village Dock Ramp, Bellport Lane, (516) 286-0327. Two seasons requiring separate permit: May 1st throughOctober 31st. Winter Launch; November 1st through April 30. Call for current fees.

East Hampton: Town Bulkhead Ramp, 3 Mile Harbor Road. Hands Creek Ramp, Hands Creek Road.

Montauk: East Lake Drive Ramp, Montauk Highway. West Lake Drive Ramp, Montauk Highway.

Napeaque: Lazy Point Ramp, off Montauk Highway North.

Springs: Commercial Docks Ramp, Gann Road. Shipyard Lane Ramp, Springs Fireplace Road.

 

HUNTINGTON

Cold Spring Harbor: Cold Spring Ramp, Route 25A, (516) 351-3089. Resident launch permitrequired: $10 (subject to change). Resident beach permit required: $10(subject to change). Access: Approximately Memorial Day through Labor Day, 6am to 8pm. No out of season access.

ISLIP

East Islip: *Champlain's Creek Dock, Dock Road, (24 foot limit). *East Islip Marina Ramp, Bayview Avenue.

West Islip: *West Islip Marina Ramp, Beach Drive, (24 foot limit).

Great River : *Great River Dock Ramp, River Road, (24 foot limit).

 

RIVERHEAD

Jamesport: Iron Pier Beach Ramp, Pier Avenue, (631) 727-5744 Resident permit required: $5 annually. Non-residents $10 daily,$75 annually. Open 24 hours, all year. 20 foot limit; 4 wheeldrive launch vehicles only.

*Following regulations apply: Residents only: annual sticker $15, car top ramp permit (canoes, etc.) annually, $5. No daily rates. Parking available at no additional cost but town sticker is required, and is free to all Town of Smithtown residents (this is a bi-annual sticker). Open all year to townresidents. Season runs from April 15th to November 15th, and hours of accessibility are 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset. Transientslip space is available to residents and non-residents. Watermill:

SOUTHOLD

*Following regulations apply: Parking by permit only; Both trailer andlaunch vehicle must have permit. Residents: Seasonal permit $5.38 x 2(car & trailer) Non-resident fees: Daily weekday $10.75 x 2 (car & trailer).Daily weekend, holiday $16.13 x 2 (car & trailer). Seasonal (April 1 throughOctober 31) $161.25. Lease and motel permits available. Residents andnon-residents access w/permits 7am to 10pm, all year.
