CLINCH KNOT
Probably the most often used knot in
fishing, it is a strong and easy knot to tie and it is ideal
for attaching line and leaders to swivels and hooks.
Put about 6 inches of the line through
the hook's eye. Wrap the tag end back down around the line six
times. Put the end through the opening directly about the
hook's eye.
Pull the knot tight. On heavier leaders,
you will need to slide the knot down using your fingers.
The knot should slide tight over the
hooks eye and should not be wrapped over the top of itself.
